Yahoo, eBay, Amazon and Google were founded in the late 90s, during which technology stocks surged and caused the Net bubble. Raw materials were strong from 2000 to 2008 due to the rise of the BRICs. Energy outperformed other sectors even at the beginning of the Financial Crisis. Technology is expected to continue to dominate as e-commerce, automation, blockchain, 5G, and AI are now a huge part of our lives.
