Core Consumer Price Index[Core CPI]
Compared to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the Core CPI excludes volatile components and better reflects underlying inflation trends. Core inflation is a key indicator used by central banks for monetary policy. Eurostat also compiles the Core Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (Core HICP) as a reference for Eurozone inflation. The data is presented as year-over-year percent changes.
