MacroMicro Bull and Bear Indicator
The MM Bull and Bear Indicator, developed by MacroMicro, is a quantitative system that applies big-data analytics to global financial datasets. After more than 100 million computations, the model identifies variables with predictive power for equity-market reversals and aggregates them into a composite indicator of market bull and bear conditions.
The index ranges from 0 to 100. Higher readings indicate a bull-market environment, with values near 100 signaling a late-cycle bull phase; the opposite holds for low readings.
The index is released on the first Friday of each month, reflecting the previous month’s value. Because some component variables are published with a delay or may undergo revisions, the index is adjusted accordingly when new data become available.
