Unemployment Rate
The unemployment rate is the percentage of people in the total labor force who are unemployed, reflecting the supply and demand conditions of a country's job market. Unemployed individuals are defined as those aged 15 and above who simultaneously meet the following criteria: (1) they are without a job; (2) they are available to start work immediately; and (3) they are actively seeking employment or are waiting for the results of a job search.
