The cryptocurrency industry is an emerging digital financial ecosystem based on blockchain technology. Its value chain include hardware manufacturing, computation supply, digital asset issuance, trading, settlement, corporate asset treasury, and end-user application.

I. Technology and Infrastructure
This layer forms the foundation of blockchain operations, covering areas such as computing power supply, mining hardware manufacturing, and cloud computing services.

1. Miners: Use computing power (CPU, GPU, or specialized ASIC miners) to validate blockchain transactions and package them into blocks, earning bitcoin and transaction fee rewards. With the rise of AI and declining mining profitability, miners are gradually converting existing resources into AI and high-performance computing (HPC) capacity to explore new revenue streams.

2. Mining Hardware Manufacturers: Mining hardware, including ASIC and GPU miners, is the core equipment for mining. These devices are designed for blockchain operations, offering high efficiency and low power consumption. Since mining rewards are directly tied to computing power, manufacturers continuously develop next-generation devices with improved performance and energy efficiency.

3. Cloud Computing Providers: Typically operate large-scale mining farms or mining pools and offer computing power rental services. Users can participate in mining without purchasing their own hardware and earn rewards proportional to their contribution. This model lowers the entry barrier for individual participation and promotes the commercialization of computing power.

II. Trading and Liquidity

1. Centralized Exchanges (CEX): Operated and managed by companies, users deposit assets on the platform, which handles order matching and provides fiat on/off-ramp services. CEXs offer high liquidity, fast transaction speeds, and user-friendly interfaces, making them the mainstream choice for cryptocurrency trading.

2. Decentralized Exchanges (DEX): Operate without intermediaries, using smart contracts for automated order matching. Users trade directly from wallet to wallet, maintaining full control over their assets. DEXs are highly transparent and resistant to censorship, but generally have lower transaction speed and liquidity compared to CEXs.

3. Payment and Settlement Services: Provide bridging solutions for merchants and consumers to pay with cryptocurrencies or settle in fiat, promoting real-world adoption of digital assets.

III. Issuance Layer

Cryptocurrency Issuers: Most cryptocurrencies (e.g., Bitcoin) are generated through decentralized mechanisms, without a single issuer, and are automatically produced by blockchain protocols (e.g., mining or transaction validation). However, some tokens, such as stablecoins (USDC, USDT), are centrally issued and managed by companies, which are responsible for maintaining price stability, managing reserve assets, and handling token issuance and redemption.

IV. Cryptocurrency Reserve Companies
These are enterprises that hold Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as primary reserve assets, part of financial allocation strategies, or long-term investment plans. They use these holdings to manage risk and/or pursue asset appreciation.
